“Alex successfully taught me to understand and cope with my travel anxiety and fears. I was struggling with anxiety attacks and fear about returning to “normal” life after a lengthy pandemic lockdown period, and worried that I’d never be able to enjoy traveling again after some difficult past experiences.
Her help could not have come at a better time, as the strategies she taught me helped me keep my anxiety more controlled through both a crowded, turbulent plane trip and an unexpected family medical emergency. I am confident in my ability to handle these stressful events in the future.
I’ve felt misunderstood in the past by other therapists who were too eager to talk right away about medication, didn’t address how my ADHD can make some things more difficult, or didn’t fully understand adult ADHD.
